On September 11, 2001, a cowardly Muslim extremist named Osama Bin Laden orchestrated an attack on the people of the United States of America that claimed over three thousand innocent lives. He boasted and joked how  some of those terrorists who carried  out this atrocity had no idea they were on a suicide mission.  They were lied to, so they would blindly carry out their murder plot.  In their eyes it was successful. However this attack also had an immediate effect on the citizens of America.  It  spawned  the birth of heroes. On that day, and the days and months to follow, countless Americans joined together to support and aid their fellow countrymen.   First responders ran into burning buildings to save lives, knowing full well they were facing almost certain death.  Average citizens revolted against their captors on an airplane, just to divert it from striking their Capitol building, knowing they would die no matter what. Volunteers spent weeks digging through the rubble of the twin towers, all the while breathing in toxins that would eventually kill them, just on the chance they would find a survivor amid the devastation. Osama Bin Laden and his sick followers did all this.   But through all the destruction and the carnage brought about by this gutless, extremist bastard and his followers; We were united as one people.  We would have done just about anything to help our fellow Americans.  We wanted to ease the sorrow felt by those who lost loved ones. Young men and women enlisted in our armed forces in droves. We wanted to find these terrorists and  bring them swift to justice. So I have a question for anyone out there willing to respond.  How could a Muslim extremist who killed over three thousand innocent Americans unite us,  and yet an American President touted to be a bi partisan uniting figure, who transcends race and partisan politics, be the most divisive leader we have ever had?
